Foods to Boost Your Immune System

Hi Guys! I hope everyone is doing their best efforts and part in the community to remain calm in this ‘COVID-19 Pandemic’ affecting everyone globally, and helping the cause with social distancing and only buying what they need. There is a lot going on and a lot of food items becoming out of stock. I wanted to share a list of options that you can incorporate in your diet to help boost your immune system that may go under the radar.

When you think of boosting your immune system you and I both think of *drum roll please* you guessed it, Oranges. Why? because they have loads of Vitamin C. If you’re not reaching for the orange you have an Emergen-C pack ready to go. With the ‘global pandemic’ surrounding us all many of us have experienced a shortage in oranges, but no need to panic I’ve got you covered.

Here’s a list of Foods to Help Boost your Immune System

  • Ginger
  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Blueberries
  • Mushrooms
  • Bell Peppers
  • Lemon
  • Turmeric
  • Yogurt
  • Papaya
  • Spinach
  • Broccoli
  • Almonds
  • Garlic
  • Green Tea

Few Things to Make

  • Baked Sweet Potato
  • Ginger Lemon Shot
  • Season your food with Turmeric and Lemon, you can even throw some in your green tea or smoothie
  • Snack on some chopped up Papaya, Blueberries, Yogurt, or Almonds
  • Blend up your Spinach in a smoothie

Try incorporating these foods in your diet and meal prepping. You can eat these ingredients straight up, except garlic… but you can also make smoothies and meals with these foods. Now is the time to get creative and look up some recipes you usually wouldn’t make. You might discover a new favorite.
