The Citadel – One of Miami’s Latest Food Halls

March 12, 2019

I recently went up to the Little River area (I think for the first time ever) but was routed there because of The Citadel. The Citadel is one of Miami’s latest food halls. They officially opened their doors February 16th, 2019, and host 13 local Miami eateries/restaurants. I think opening their location in Little River could be a newfound ground breaking hotspot for Miami, there is a lot of room for growth in that area. It just takes one to get it started, exhibit A: Wynwood.

The Citadel’s objective is to cultivate culture and community in Miami since we have a lot to go around.

Here is the list of the current food vendors at the Citadel

They offer so many different types of cuisines, from Mexican, Asian, French, Italian, and more. The serving portions are a good enough size to be able to eat from more than one vendor. I suggest going with a friend or two, or more and get a little bit of everything to share. For desserts you can get your own, because I would… I have my sweet tooth so I like to indulge.

I wanted to highlight their Miami hand crafted cocktail menu – I ordered the Miami Shores Mule, and it was beyond one of the best Mules I’ve had I wish I could have tried their whole cocktail menu (obtainable goal right?) I’ve never had a Mule with guava in it, and with such sweet tooth mentioned above I had to go for it. Another reason to go visit The Citadel.

The Citadel Miami, is also looking to host The Finery at The Citadel. The Finery will work on bringing local retail vendors and Pop-Ups together to showcase Miami’s unique community of cultures. They are taking vendor applications on their site here.
